With the prompt development of economy and so-ciety in China, the contradiction of urban and rural developm-ent is increasingly highlighted. In order to solve the problem of urban and rural development, need to do a good job in town planning. This article discusses the urban and rural relationship, the necessity of smal town planning, theoretical analysis of regional planning and the problems existing in the overal planning of smal towns, etc.
