This paper taking the first group of Chang Wei project of the engineering of demonstration district in the south area of Ma Anshan constructed by Chinese Metalurgical Group as an example, introduced the characteristics and appli- cation of high strength steel. The author found the advantages of high strength steel through theoretical analysis and dem- onstrated practicaly a variety of benefits for enterprises and the society by reasonable application of high strength steel.
