Patent document retrieval is an important part of sci-tech novelty retrieval, and the establishment of retrieval strategy is the foundation of patent document retrieval. This paper makes a detailed analysis on an easy way to establish patent retrieval strategy from aspects of determining the key words and international patent classification (IPC), and organizing the retrieval strategy with examples, providing references for sci-tech novelty retrieval personnel and patent retrieval personnel.
