With the increase in the population of the city, the buildings gradually develope to high-rise buildings. In order to ensure the safety and the stability of tall buildings, we must make a reasonable selection and optimization of the design on the basis of the high-rise building, which starting from the basis of selection.This article first briefly introduces the development status of high-rise buildings and the importance of the foundation selection.And then it analyzes the influencing factors of the basis for selection of high-rise buildings, and the applicable conditions of different types of foundation selection of the high-rise building , and the optimized design program for reasonable selection. At last it makes a conclusion of the high-rise building foundation selection and comprehensively explores the development direction of the reasonable principle of selection of the foundation of the high-rise building.
