This paper briefly discusses the design principles of the landscaping of residential area from the perspective of the effect and the purpose of the landscaping of residential area . And then take the Chang'an Lido as an example, this paper introduces the different ways to dispose the plant configuration from the perspective of public lawn, ruderal greenbelt and the road greening. In addition,it analylize the keypoints of the selection of tree species.
