The commercial syntheses are the inevitable prod-uct of the urban economic development and social progress, and also an important part of the urban space.In this article, the author combines with the co-ordination of Dachang old town area of commercial syntheses design and construction planning, put into the concept of protection history and continuation the philosophy of features and characteristics,consider people-oriented from the overal planning, traffic layout to the facade design, and make ful use of energy-saving technologies to reduce energy consumption, which is the future direction of the commercial complex development.
