According to the characteristics and necessity of the engineering projects cost management, project cost manag-ement of the whole process of analysis. In the whole process of the engineering projects on the basis of a detailed analysis of the role and significance of the engineering projects cost mana-gement in the five phases of the project decision-making, desi-gn, bidding, construction, completion. On this basis, a detailed study of the importance of engineering projects cost managem-ent summarized the main role in promoting the project quality management, the three aspects of the management of the who-le process, meticulous management of the financial promotion. The results show that the cost management in the engineering projects has a very important role and significance.
