Crossover survey is one of the most important methods used in the design and construction of electric transmission lines. What this method can do is to reflect the electric lines span between objections, and affect transmission lines' quality, cost and security. This paper discusses how to do crossover surveying when objections needing to cross over are not available to approach. According to the kind of instruments to be used, such as theodolite, total station device and GPS, we introduce corresponding method of measuring and calculating, and matters needing attention.
