This paper based on center point method and Peck formula deduced the reliable calculation method of the max-imum surface settlement of shield tunnel. Reliability index and failure probability of the set lement of shield tunnel in soft clay ground confirmed that, the method provided an effective way for reliability analysis of ground surface set lement of shield tune.
