The 200/30 t electric double beam crane is equip-ed with heavy orbit in the conventional island plant at Yangji-ang nuclear power station. The crane is of model QU120, made from high-carbon steel U71Mn, and installed by welding. This paper discusses the weldability of high-carbon steel U71Mn and the welding process, and the project practice verified and summarized the instal ation and welding experience and techn-ological measures of the high-carbon steel rail orbit of the conventional island of nuclear power plant.
