With the aging of the population, how to design the elderly housing has become the focus of social at ention. In this paper, combined with the characteristics of the old reside-ntial building, the author summarizes the methods of inside and outside of architectural space layout and functional design, and puts forward some practical application of intel igent bu-ilding design thought in elderly residential building in the area.
