支气管哮喘对人类健康有着严重影响，尤其对于老年支气管哮喘患者而言，其基础疾病较多，预后较差，故而有较高的病死率。开展社区管理与教育可提升规范化治疗率，避免医疗资源浪费，减少疾病发作次数，缓解病情，减轻患者医疗负担，有效改善患者生活质量。在社区卫生管理中将支气管哮喘作为工作内容之一，以患者为中心、医患协同参与的社区管理与教育模式可有效控制支气管哮喘，具有推广价值。
