The paper studied the measured section at sanjiaopo village,Mengzi,discussed the lithostratigraphic characteristics of Ximatang Formation.The Ximatang Formation is made up of fine clastic,and it shouid be tidal flat facies.The Ximatang Forma-tion should belong to Induan ,the early Triassic.
