Hybrid hydrogel%MWCNTs%PEG-b-PDMAEMA%α-CD%Rheology
Well-dispersed muhi-walled cabon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were successfully incorporated into a supramolecular hydrogel through combining dual roles of poly (ethylene glycol)-block-poly [(2-dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate] (PEG-b-PDMAEMA) copolymer in dispersing MWCNTs and forming inclusion complexes with α-cyclodextrin (α-CD). Rheological behaviors of supramolecular hydrogels were investigated. The resultant hybrid hydrogels were found to be shear thinning and could be applied as a promising injectable drug delivery system. The mechanical strength of the hybrid hydrogels was greatly improved in comparison with that of the corresponding native hydrogels.
