In the three perspectives of urban functions,industrial setups and special structure,this paper analyzes the influence exerted by knowledge-based economy in urban development and the growing trend of knowledge cities.Meanwhile,it puts forward five strategies in construction of knowledge cities from the angle of urban planning.
