The movie A Chinese Odyssey experienced the silence and failure in the box office at the very beginning but suddenly appear on the hori- zon in the end as a special cultural phenomenon among the young and adolescent people in our country. This paper will reveal the postmodernist charac- teristies of this movie from the analysis of the movie's text, displaying methods and the characters' personalities, etc. Consequently, this paper tried to find the forming mechanism and reasons of the special cultural phenomenon.
